C3 Global Leadership Programme: Building 21st century Contemporary, Compassionate and Collaborative young leaders

The world is at crossroads. Rapid globalization, increasing employment uncertainties, decreasing tolerance, increasing inequality and environmental degradation are among the many challenges of the 21st century that demand the attention of leaders with a different skills set.

As part of the efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and to ensure lasting protection of the planet with respect for diversity and inclusion, the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development and its international renowned partners– are launching the C3 Global Leadership Programme.

The C3 Global Leadership Programme has been developed as a collaborative effort by  UNESCO MGIEP, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Friedrich Schiller University, Germany, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and  the Paulo Freire Institute at University of California, Los Angeles .

If you are a young professional in the age group of 28-40 years and can envision solutions for creating a more peaceful, sustainable world, the C 3 Global Leadership Programme is tailor-made for you. This is an opportunity to be trained by the joint forces of UESCO MGIEP and four leading global institutes to enable you to discover your innate potential for social and self-transformation.

The C 3 Global Leadership Programme is for you if you:

  • Embrace collaboration to find sustainable solutions;
  • Understand the world as a complex inter-connected, interdependent and nonlinear system;
  • Are passionate about leading fellow global citizens towards a sustainable and peaceful world;

C3 is a leadership programme with a difference; it develops young professionals into leaders who can innovate, embrace diversity and inspire to shape a more peaceful and sustainable world.

The programme is open to young professionals in the age group of 28 to 40 years with minimum 3 years of work experience in any of the following sectors:

  • Civil Service and Public Administration
  • Military
  • Business and Social Enterprise
  • Media
  • Civil Society and NGOs

Interested candidates can apply independently or could be nominated and supported by their organizations to attend the leadership programme.

Decoding C3

  • The programme treads a new path in youth leadership by generating a discourse based on diversity, innovation, and pragmatism towards the sustainable development agenda.
  • Nurtures a vibrant and critical mindset capable of creating new jobs suited to the changing global environment.
  • Fosters an innovative approach guided by topics of critical inquiry, empathy and compassion training, system thinking, governance, global citizenship and sustainability.

Scholarships:

The UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) is offering scholarships to cover the tuition fees to a limited number of  young professionals.
