Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba is a Nepalese politician and a social worker. She is a member of Nepalese Constituent Assembly from Nepali Congress and runs numerous social organizations with a special interest in the empowerment of women in Nepal. For the past two decades, advocacy for conservation and sustainable development has been her passion. As a social scientist and Regional Councillor she has served to further this cause.

Dr. Kristian Berg Harpviken is a Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), where he served as a Director from 2009 to 2017. He is a sociologist from the University of Oslo and has also worked on civil society, transnationalism, political mobilization as well as a variety of issues related to post-war reconstruction and peacebuilding. He is the leader of the working group on Transnational and International Facets of Civil War within PRIO’s Centre for the Study of Civil War.

Prof. Chen is currently the 7 th President of ECNU (2012.7-present) and the Standing Committee member of 12 th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). As a Professor of Physics, he has engaged in magnetic resonance and polymer physics studies and served as Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Magnetic Resonance as well as Vice Chairman of Shanghai Society of Physics.

Mr. Koïchiro Matsuura is a Japanese diplomat. He was appointed on 12 November 1999 to serve a six-year term as Director-General of UNESCO by the Organization’s General Conference. Posts held by Mr. Matsuura include those of Director-General of the Economic Cooperation Bureau of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1988); Director-General of the North American Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1990); and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs. He has also served as the Chairperson of UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee for one year, until November 1999.

Dr. Virginia Miralao is currently the Secretary-General of the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines. Prior to this, she headed the Philippine Social Science Council (PSSC) as its Executive Director and came to be involved in the programmes and activities of UNESCO’s Social and Human Sciences Sector. Dr. Miralao has also worked with the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation.

Roza Isakovna Otunbayeva served as the President of Kyrgyzstan from 7 April 2010 until 1 December 2011. She previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and as Deputy Head of Government of the Soviet Kyrgyz Republic before being invited to the Soviet Foreign Ministry in Moscow and later working as President of the Soviet National Commission of UNESCO. She currently heads The Roza Otunbayeva International Foundation.

Science Adviser to the Prime Minister, Malaysia
Dr. Zakri is the Science Adviser to the Prime Minister of Malaysia. His senior leadership roles include Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia; Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies at the United Nations University, Japan ; Chairman, Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA), United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity; Co-chair, ”Millennium Ecosystem Assessment”, and Member, Inter-Academy Council Committee reviewing the IPCC. He is a recipient of a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship, a Gold Medal Award from the Rotary Research Foundation and the Langkawi Award.

Dr. Mila Thomas Fuller is the President of the Board of Directors for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Serving more than 100,000 education stakeholders worldwide, ISTE is known as a premier membership organization that supports educators and education leaders who are committed to empowering learners in a connected world. Dr. Fuller is an innovative ed tech leader with expertise in instructional technology from strategy through to implementation. She has nearly two decades of experience in learning and teaching with technology through her work with associations, districts, schools and universities. Dr. Fuller also serves as the Assistant Director of online learning for the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign College of Education. She works to develop strategy, promote and coordinate the delivery of online, distance and blended education offerings. Additionally, she collaborates with the college’s online learning stakeholders and service providers.

Mr. Vinay Sheel Oberoi, a 1979 batch IAS officer of Assam Meghalaya cadre, is presently Secretary, Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). He was the Permanent Representative of India to UNESCO. He has also served as the Secretary to the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
Vice-Chancellor (National University of Educational Planning and Administration) NUEPA, New Delhi
Prof. Tilak is a Professor in Economics and Financing of Education. He holds a Ph.D. (Economics of Education) from the Delhi School of Economics. He was on the research and teaching faculty of the University of Delhi, Indian Institute of Education, University of Virginia and Hiroshima University, as well as research staff for the World Bank.

Dr. Duraiappah is a development environmental economist. He has written numerous articles and books on the economics of sustainable development and is a founding fellow of the Human Development and Capability Association and a fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences. Professor Duraiappah was the report director for the Inclusive Wealth Report released at the Rio+20 Summit in 2012. He is presently the founding director of UNESCO MGIEP.
