The hands-on workshops at TECH 2020 introduced teachers to SEL and its relevance in the classroom, enabled youth to develop their SEL skills and trained participants on how to embed SEL in digital curricula.

Workshops
Designed by expert facilitators in CIT from around the world, this workshop is targeted at professionals, young people in universities and schools, as well as teachers & educators. This workshop on Emotional Awareness will use mindful dialogues, guided practices, and contemplative practices to help participants understand emotions and what drives their thoughts and actions. Additionally, participants will familiarize themselves with tips on using social and emotional skills in their work or learning environments, personal lives, or for the benefit of society. Participants will be awarded participation certificates by UNESCO MGIEP and Life University at the end of the workshop.
Curated for teachers (K-12 & university level) as well as instructional designers and online educators, these workshops will provide participants with hands-on-training in exploring various digital tools that can help make student learning more engaging. The workshop is based on MGIEP's newest course in digital pedagogies and will also provide participants with a preview of this new cutting-edge resource. Limited to 50 participants per workshop. Participants will receive a Certificate by UNESCO MGIEP at the end of the workshop.
Designed by experts in SEL and the neurosciences, this workshop is curated especially for teachers and educators to empower them to develop SEL-based classroom environments which are more effective for learning and provide 'safe spaces' for students to express their emotions. After the workshop, teachers will be able to understand SEL, define how to integrate SEL in classrooms as well as identify how learning becomes more effective with SEL. Limited to 50 participants per workshop. Those who successfully complete the workshops will receive Certificates by UNESCO MGIEP.
