The story that I am going to share is the perfect example of ”Act of Kindness” as it is very close to my heart .It was 4th January 2019, I and my sister’s husband were working at our office as always suddenly my sister and my mother who were shopping in market received a call that was very terrifying and made them full of fear, someone made a call who used to work with my father in Govt. School. Dungarpur. His name was Mr. Kantilal who was lecturer in the same school where my father was working. Kanti lal sir said to my mother on phone that my father has done many vomits which are containing too much blood.
No sooner my mother listened all this she started feeling dizzy. My sister was only person who was with my mother in market. She instantly made a call to me and said, you and Abhishek (her husband) have to come in market as fast as possible because mother is feeling dizzy, we also got fear and asked what happened she told the whole story that father is doing blood vomits. We were getting nothing so we brought mother and sister at home and made a call to Kanti lal sir. He said us to depart as fast as possible because condition of my father was not good. Mr. Kanti lal called ambulance and brought my father to Dungarpur hospital. Doctor said he needs blood immediately. Kanti lal sir called to many of his friends in search of blood and after struggling for 1 hour, he could finally arrange blood and my father started getting treatment. Dungarpur was completely unknown place for us so we kept having conversation with Kanti Lal sir and he kept giving us report of each and every minute.
I, my mother, my sister and my Jiju departed for Dungarpur in our car. My mother was weeping continuously. I received call from Kanti Lal sir on the way of our home city to Udaipur. He said, you are to come to Udaipur and I am bringing your father in ambulance to Udaipur from Dungarpur because Dungarpur is not good in medication and now your father is also feeling little better with the blood bottle being dripped.
I even didn't know who is he and he was also newly joined lecturer but the way he was helping my father, it was really sentimental and emotional moment for me and I felt that still good people are living in this world. The distance from my home town to Udaipur was 165 km and the distance from Dungarpur to Udaipur was 110 km. we reached Udaipur in 3 hours and Kanti lal sir took my father in ambulance at Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur. I saw my father and took a breath of relax. My father was taken to the emergency ward and he was admitted in ICU. Mr Kantilal stayed there for some time and it was being late night so Kanti lal sir’s parents had been making call to him so he was to go to Dungarpur back. I and my Jiju asked to Kanti Lal sir how much money have you spent in father’s treatment in Dungarpur Hospital? He said a line that made me more grateful towards him, he said I will take money from Rajendra JI Modi (My father) only, let him get well soon and he went.
This ”Act of Kindness” changed to me so much and helped me to become the better version of myself and gave me a positive strength that still some helping people do exist in this selfish world who are always ready to help others .If Kanti lal sir had not saved my father and had not taken the action to arrange blood and had not taken my father from Dungarpur to Udaipur in ambulance with his own risk then I might have lost my father so this act of kindness saved my father so the protagonist of this story Kanti Lal sir gave an unspoken purpose to me to keep helping people more and more.
