South Asian Youth ask to "Put Youth at the Centre of Prevention of Violent Extremism"
To mainstream the collective voices of South Asian youth for inclusion in policymaking in the areas of education for peace, sustainability and for the prevention of violent extremism - UNESCO MGIEP in February, organized its 11th Talking Across Generations on Education (TAGe) event which was the 1st for the South Asian regionon the State of the Prevention of Violent Extremism in South Asia. The TAGe plenary set the tone for the #YouthWagingPeace regional workshop organized in partnership with UNAOC and the UNESCO Office in New Delhi. It will culminate in the publication of ‘The State of the Prevention of Violent Extremism in South Asia: A Youth-led Report’ comprising of actionable recommendations to influence policy on PVE in the region.
