35 South Asian youth leaders capacitated to wage peace
10 -16 February 2020, Colombo, Sri Lanka: To contribute to efforts to prevent violent extremism and build sustainable peace in communities, UNESCO MGIEP, UNAOC and the Sri Lanka National Commission for the UNESCO brought together and built the social and emotional, critical media and project management skills of 35 young leaders from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Myanmar). The youth leaders curated 30 community-wide activities to be implemented in 6 countries directly impacting 1,000+ community stakeholders.
