The need to decolonize social emotional learning

Many programs around the world still use American curricula or are funded by US donors. It is not that this framework should be abolished, rather, it may not serve everyone’s needs. Other communities’ own forms of knowing and emoting are just as valid and should be viewed as such by the social emotional learning field.
